Due to a major mechanical issue, the Bookmobile will be off the road for the next several days. It is unlikely that the Bookmobile will be on routes from today, Thursday, March 5th to Friday, March 13th. We are very disappointed that we will be unable to bring you Bookmobile service, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused by this interruption of service.
Click here to see this month’s schedule of stops. The communities listed under a certain date indicate the area of the county the Bookmobile will be servicing that day. A particular place, along with a time, indicates when & where the Bookmobile will be. At these times, the public is encouraged to take advantage of the Bookmobile.
The Bookmobile is undergoing maintenance to correct a major problem, so there will be no Bookmobile service Tuesday, March 3rd or Wednesday, March 4th. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Starting in March, the Bookmobile will be stopping at locations across the county on Mondays and Fridays to better serve the people of Clay County. Look for the Bookmobile in the parking lots at fire departments, stores, and other locations.

The library will be closed Monday, January 16th, in observance of President’s Day. Therefore, the bookmobile will stop on Tuesday afternoon for those who normally receive service on Mondays.
Clay County Public Library now has, available for check-out, music on CD. We have over 70 titles to choose from. Genres range from rock to disco, and from bluegrass to hip-hop. Whether you enjoy AC/DC or Willie Nelson, and whether you move to Party Hits or Toddler Favorites, we have something for you. Ages 10 and up are permitted to take advantage of this new service.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
Clay County Public Library will close at 4 pm Wednesday afternoon. The library is closing one hour early in anticipation of falling temperatures and icy roads.
Also, there will be no bookmobile service today as there is no school in Clay County.
Let’s see, there was no school on Thursday, January 29th, no school on Monday, February 2, and no school today. I went back and looked at my records, and I haven’t been on the road since January 8th. The reasons have varied from sickness to mechanical trouble, but mainly, schools being closed. I miss you all, and I hope to be on the road soon. - Ryan
